The Entity

Directed by: Sidney J. Furie

Release Date: 1983

Based on a book by of the same title by Frank DeFelitta, this story is about a woman who is repeatedly sexually assaulted by an unseen force.
Filled with lots of gratuitous T&A and repetitious shots in which people seen in the foreground and background are both clear, this feature's only salient feature is the score when Carla Moran is attacked. The rest of the picture has the supernatural elements of Tobe Hooper's The Poltergeist except this film was not memorable enough. Barbara Hershey did a phenomenal job with the role as Carla Moran but the movie as a whole loses steam in the second half and the nudity (although aware necessary for plot devices) was extremely distracting.

Would I recommend this picture? Sure, if you want to watch the original since this film is also receiving the remake treatment. Oh Hollywood, lose originality much?

Watch at your own risk.
